Hi, my name is David, I’m from Brazil. I teach both Portuguese and English here on Italki, and I’ve been working here since 2021. I love helping people unlock their language skills for travel, work, and lifestyle. Outside the classroom, I’m really passionate about Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu — it keeps me focused, disciplined, and always improving. I also love music, especially rock and metal, and skateboard. Movies, TV series, and video games are part of my world, and I enjoy traveling whenever I can. In my lessons, I bring the same energy, creativity, and passion that I put into everything I do. Enseño portugués e inglés desde 2011, empezando en São Paulo con estudiantes extranjeros que querían aprender portugués para la vida diaria. Mis clases se centran en la conversación, la comprensión oral, el vocabulario y la gramática de forma práctica. Desde 2015, he enseñado a estudiantes de todas las edades y niveles, desde principiantes hasta avanzados. My lessons are always tailored to each student’s needs. I create a comfortable and motivating space where learning feels natural. I use materials that focus on conversation, vocabulary, grammar, and listening, but I also bring real-life topics to keep practice relevant and fun. We had a great trial lesson. The conversation felt surprisingly easy and natural, but I also learned a few new words/phrases in that short time! I also enjoyed learning a bit more about the area of Brazil where he is from. I look forward to having more lessons with him!

A great trial to what promises to be a very interactive and in-depth learning experience. I really appreciated the balance between learning vocabulary through screen sharing and having the opportunity to have a free-flow conversation afterwards. Looking forward to the next lesson
