Hi everyone! This is Karen from Guangzhou, China. Guangzhou is a city full of history and diversity. As a Cantonese who was born and grew up in Guangzhou, I'm very interested in language learning and teaching. I can speak Mandarin Chinese and Cantonese as my mother tongues, fluent English, and some Japanese and Thai language. In my spare time, I like cooking, hiking and ballet. Yo como profesor
I have been a Chinese teaching volunteer for overseas students at college for 4 years and a tutor in a language training institution for kids for 3 years. I have made friends from Thailand, Pakistan, Equatorial Guinea, etc. I also organized and participated in some cross-cultural events like visiting local attraction, making paper cuttings and introducing “Yum Cha” culture of Guangdong. I have been using Karen as Cantonese teacher for my kids for the past few years. She is interactive, attentive, and very fun to learn from. My kids love her and will definitely recommend her to anyone that's interested in learning the Chinese language.

I had my first lesson with Karen today. I was a bit nervous beforehand, but Karen is very kind and made me feel comfortable. The lesson was well-structured and easy to follow. I enjoyed it a lot :)
