Jessie Expert TOPIK

Jessie is always spot on in preparing for classes which makes it incredibly helpful and fun at the same time. For this lesson, I told Jessie that I wanted to run through news articles because I felt my Reading level had dropped recently and she prepared not one but three different short news articles which we ran through in class - not only the meaning of the words but also actively worked through the texts to summarise/ answer questions/ share my thoughts, ensuring that I really understood what we were learning. These classes are extremely helpful not in my general Korean learning but also for preparing for TOPIK/ work and hence would recommend to anyone looking to up their Korean level!

Jessie is always so patient - she knows how to keep the lesson flowing while working at the student's pace. Recommended!

I do not regret choosing Jessie Teacher to help me with my TOPIK preparation! She's very warm, friendly and enthusiastic. She goes above and beyond when she teaches, and makes sure that you understand the content well and can apply it well. Even though my speaking is not good, she works hard to understand what I say and gently correct my sentences. Her hard work and dedication makes me want to work just as hard! I can tell that I'm improving as time goes on. 선생님 고생 많으셨습니다!

This is my third class with Jessie for TOPIK II preparation. Even if I’m not always motivated before starting, every time I study with her, I remember how much I enjoy learning Korean. Jessie is friendly and knows how to quickly assess your level and adjust the class accordingly. She focuses only on what’s essential for the TOPIK—important grammar patterns and strategies to maximize your score. She also helped me fix small mistakes in my speaking, like particles I often forgot. She’s very patient and encouraging, especially if you lack confidence. I’m not good at speaking, but she always motivates me. I even recommended her to a friend, and she’s also happy with the lessons!

Learning complex words by dividing them in hanja is fun! Words I learned from the very first lessons are used to formed different words with similar meanings but with specific nuances. Studying all these is very satisfying and guessing the feeling they try to communicate is so interesting!

Another lesson focused on useful and important words for TOPIK, it's been a streak of quiz and games trying to guess the meaning of things based on real life examples or words I know from the very first lessons. Discovering the reasons why some words are as they are. Also going into more difficult vocabulary of abstract things such as ideas, thoughts and complex expressions. Extremely interesting and fun
