I’m a native Korean, born and raised in South Korea. I’m a friendly and curious person who enjoys learning new things and exploring different cities. I love traveling and have visited 18 countries and around 50 cities so far. Along the way, I met many people interested in Korea, which inspired me to become a Korean teacher.
To pursue this passion, I entered university to study Korean language education and earned a bachelor's degree in Teaching Korean as a Foreign Language. I also studied advertising at an art college, and now I’m preparing for a master’s degree in Korean language education. I hope my enthusiasm inspires my students!Mostrar traducción

I have been teaching Korean for over five years to adult learners of various nationalities, both online and offline. I have also worked with multicultural families residing in Korea. As an experienced language teacher and learner myself, I believe that mastering a language goes beyond understanding its concepts—it requires deep cultural awareness from multiple perspectives.

Before working with Sun쌤, I had only taken textbook-based lessons. Because of the nature of textbooks, I often just read off the page, swapped in new vocabulary/phrases when the book instructed me to, and flipped the page.
The description Sun’s class mentions vocalizing & writing sentences until they become deeply internalized, and she really means that!
The exercises/activities we do during class are fun and provides lots of opportunities to practice listening comprehension and speaking! And this includes speaking from the heart/memory, not relying on written text that is in front of me.
I know I’m only a couple of lessons in, but I’m becoming more comfortable in speaking and applying the grammar I’ve learned in books to real-life conversations and activities. 감사합니다!

Sun is AMAZING!! I True to her name, she has a warm and bright disposition. I’ve been studying with Sun since Sept. 2022 and I always look forward to our class. Her enthusiasm is contagious! Her teaching style is very interactive and engaging. I am very picky and met with eight teachers before I found Sun. EIGHT!! I am so grateful to have met her. She’s the perfect fit for my learning goals. Since becoming her student, I have leveled up and continue to improve my Korean abilities. I am so impressed in how much I have learned in such a short amount of time. If you are looking for a friendly, patient and engaging teacher, then look no further than Sun!

선생님 always makes learning Korean fun, interesting and relevant! She brings topics that make me excited to talk about and discuss. I love her positive personality and she's always very understanding and patient when I struggle.

Sun is the best! Originally I was very nervous about speaking Korean, but Sun is so friendly, encouraging, and patient. Our classes are so much fun and I've grown more comfortable speaking. I've been taking lessons for about eight months now and have learned so much! Our lessons are the perfect mixture of structured exercises and freer conversation. I also love that she provides notes and homework to review between lessons. So thankful for Sun! I really couldn't ask for a better teacher!
