Direction-related vocabulary

- Left
Example:
Arko chokmaa baayaa' moḍnuhos.
(अर्को चोकमा बायाँ मोड्नुहोस्।)
= Turn left at the next intersection.

- Right
Example:
Pasal tapaai'ko daayaa'tira chha.
(पसल तपाईँको दायाँतिर छ।)
= The shop is on your right.

- Straight
Example:
Dui  kilometer sidhaa jaanus.
(दुई किलोमिटर सिधा जानुहोस्।)
- Go straight ahead for two kilometers.

- Near
Example:
Bus sṭop schoolko najik chha.
(बस स्टप स्कुलको नजिक छ।)
= The bus stop is near the school.

- Far
Example:
Gaau' yahaa'baata taadhaa chha.
(गाउँ यहाँबाट टाढा छ।)
= The village is far from here.

- Up
Example:
Maathi aakaash hernus.
(माथि आकाश हेर्नुहोस्।)
= Look up at the sky.

- Down
Example:
Chaabiharu ṭebalko tala chhan.
(चाबीहरू टेबलको तल छन्।)
= The keys are down on the table.

- Across
Example:
Pul kholaako paari chha.
(पुल खोलाको पारि छ।)
= The bridge is across the river.

- Uphill
Example:
Mandir yahaa'baata ukaalo chha.
(मन्दिर यहाँबाट उकालो छ।)
= The temple is uphill from here.

- Downhill
Example:
Oraalo hiddaa hosiyaar hunus.
(ओरालो हिँड्दा होशियार हुनुस्।)
= Be careful while walking downhill.

- Here
Example:
yahaa' parkhanus.
(यहाँ पर्खनुस्।)
= (Please) wait here.

- There
Example:
Park tyahaa' chha.
(पार्क त्यहाँ छ।)
= The park is over there.

- In front of
Example:
Gaadi bhawanko agaadi chha.
(गाडी भवनको अगाडि छ।)
= The car is in front of the building.

- Behind
Example:
Kukur gharko pachhaaḍi chha.
(कुकुर घरको पछाडि छ।)
= The dog is behind the house.

- Around
Example:
Taalko warapara dherai rukharu chhan.
(तालको वरपर धेरै रुखहरू छन्।)
= There are many trees around the lake.
