A pharmacy is a place where you can go and buy medicine or collect prescriptions from your doctor if you are feeling unwell or need to take medication for something else.

A wardrobe is another word for closet. It is a place where you can store your clothes.

A library is a place where there are many books. You can buy books or rent books. It can be a public space or a private space.

A scent is like a smell. 

For example, Your hair smells nice. The shampoo you are using has a lovely scent to it.

To be sure or to feel sure means you are certain and feel confident in what you are doing or saying.

Meat is protein from animals, i.e. fish, chicken, and pork.

To meet someone is to plan a time, location or event. It can be a friend or family member for fun, or it can be an official meeting for work.

To be bolder or to feel bold means to be very brave and courageous - straightforward or to the point. You are very honest and are not afraid when you say or do something.

A tortilla is a round, thin and flat type of bread that originates from Mexico.

It is a cut of beef that comes from the ribs of a cow.

When you subscribe to something it means you wish to receive something regularly because it interests you. For example, a subscription to Spotify because you like listening to music and don´t want to listen to ads.

A spoken or written detail of someone or something. To describe is to tell more about the person/object/place in more or greater detail.

A narrow trench (long hole) that is dug at the side of a road.

A large ship that carries people to certain places - usually for pleasure (holiday). It has many rooms, pools and shops on board.

When you cannot handle being out on the water - you feel unwell and dizzy. Your stomach feels weak.

When you get sick from travelling in the car due to the cramped (small) space - you may experience dizziness or have the urge to throw up (vomit).

When you cannot handle being in any type of vehicle or form of transport. You feel uneasy, sick and lightheaded (dizzy/faint).

Similar to a motorcycle but it has a floorboard where you can rest your feet on while you ride.

Similar to a motorcycle, but very small - it looks like a bicycle with an engine - like a Scooter but much smaller.

A Company is another word for a business owned by someone, or a place where you work. It can also mean to have company - to be around people like family or friends.

To give or supply something to someone or something else.

To provide funding (money) to someone or an enterprise (company) for something. I.e. To pay, to sponsor or to support.

Unique and different. Another word to describe someone who is very talented or skilled at something (Specialist).

The land you come from (born in) or live in.

It is a part of something - it is included.
For example, a pension is included in your work contract.

Very important or serious. High up - great - significant.

A system is something that has structure and is organised. Everything works together. It is another word for institution or organization.

Another word for a child - can also mean a baby goat.

Another word for a lady - refers to a female person.

A soft tool made out of fibres that is used for cleaning or washing dishes.

To dispose of something is to get rid of something - to destroy it or break it.

A system that states a standing of a person or thing in society. For example, a King is at the top, but a normal person is at the bottom. A food chain. A display of power dynamics.

Anything biodegradable is anything that can naturally erode into the ground without causing harm to the environment. It is safer. For example, the core of an apple can be thrown on the ground when finished.

Another word for the corner of the street as you turn.

Natural or essential - something that is necessary or permanent.

To salvage is to rescue or save or recover something that may be lost.

A tool used to measure the temperature of an area - to see how hot or cold a place is, or a person feels.

A status refers to a person or things standing in a certain place. Your place in society, how others or you yourself, view each other. Rich, poor, boss, worker, etc...

A position refers to a place where someone or something is. For example, I placed my phone on the counter. Or: His position in the company is quite high.

A person who wants to promote or help others by donating a lot to the cause (the situation).

A device that helps regulate (maintain) temperature - supplying heat or no heat if needed.

Sweet food originating from trees, plants or bushes.

Not direct - delicate or small - sly/cunning or refined.

A line in which you stand in waiting for something until it is your turn.

A big mess - dangerous or confusion - disorder - not peaceful - harmful.

Something bad happens. Unlucky or unfortunate.

Instructions for making a specific type of food - it contains a list of ingredients needed to make the desired type of meal.

Part of a woman's body in which a baby forms during pregnancy.

To feel relaxed - at ease - cosy - restful or safe.

Education is another word for studying or learning.

A form of text where people can write comments/thoughts/opinions - it can appear while watching a video.

Podcasts have a regular schedule - commonly every week. It is when you listen to someone speak about a certain topic out of interest.

Broadcasts are like radios - always on - someone may not always be speaking but there may be music playing.

Clothes that you wear at home - comfortable and cosy.

A system of government that consists of other states/provinces but is independent (separate) from their affairs/issues.

To be religious is to have a strong faith or belief in something

An issue can also mean having a problem or trouble with something. It can also mean a certain part of a book. For example, The New York Times has a new issue (new newspaper) every week.

Something that is happening or exists between different countries/nations.

A form of bonding with people, whether it be your neighbours or people online on the same website (Italki).

A group - more than one person together or surrounding the area/you.

Another word for superior - higher up - first class - when referred to as a person it means very rich and powerful.

Multiple (many) scattered pieces of rubbish or trash, usually from the wreckage (car crash/shipwreck).

To be famous or popular but for the wrong reasons. To be well-known for being bad or doing bad things.

A person or thing that is a perfect example of a particular quality or type. For example, she was the epitome of someone graceful and elegant.

Fake, not real. A mask. Pretending to be something you are not. For example, he was a very violent person but no one knew because he had a friendly facade.

A place, use, or work for which a person is best fitted or suitable in the most. For example, he had a niche for cooking!

Outside of the city, more farm-like or countryside.

Another word for cities/towns that are very busy/popular with people, businesses and more.

Another word for misbehaving - naughty - bad - disobedient. Can be used to describe minor (low) forms of being annoying or doing something to be playful by causing little trouble.

A cooking sauce made with soy sauce and vinegar.

Something made up - imagined. Usually stories, i.e. adventure, mystery, Sci-Fi (not real).

Written or in video form - everything is real. Usually cookbooks, self-help, biographies, etc.

Something that you value or like the most.

Another word for a writer of a book, novel or blog.

Another word for sweet, endearing or compassionate.

Something that is one of a kind - you don´t see it often - special - different.

To appreciate something is to feel thankful or grateful.

To be approving, is to be accepting or proud. To welcome.

When a person matures it means that they have grown up age-wise or behaviour-wise. From child to adult. To have grown.

A bookworm is someone who loves to read and is always reading. It is like an addiction, they can´t stop reading books.

A biography is a written account of someone's life and is written by someone else. For example, I write a book about you.

An autobiography is a written account of someone´s life written by that person. For example, you write a book about yourself and your life.

A page-turner means that something you are reading is really good or interesting and it makes you want to continue reading it.

A device used to read the digital versions of books. For example, a Kindle.

To read someone like a book means you know them really well and can understand them well. They are predictable or easy to understand. For example, you can tell when your father is mad, even if he does not show it.

A book, document, or piece of music that is written by hand.

It is another word for handwriting (the way/style you write) but also refers to a written text of a play or movie.
