Tuteur communautaireš¦š· Small everyday habits in Argentina
In Argentina there are many small everyday social habits that people do almost automatically.
They are not written rules, but most people learn them simply by living in the culture.
Some examples:
1ļøā£ Saying āGood morning / Good afternoon / Good eveningā when entering a place
⢠When you enter a shop, office, clinic, or even an elevator, itās common to greet everyone.
2ļøā£ Saying āprovechoā when someone is eating
⢠If you arrive at a table or pass by people who are eating, many people say āprovechoā ("enjoy your meal").
3ļøā£ Greeting with a kiss on the cheek
⢠In many social situations, even between people who donāt know each other very well, itās normal to greet with a kiss on the cheek.
4ļøā£ Offering mate if you are drinking it
⢠If someone arrives and you are drinking mate, it is customary to offer it. Even if they say no, offering is part of hospitality.
5ļøā£ Using diminutives to sound more friendly
⢠Words like "momentito", "segundito", or "ratito" are often used to make requests sound softer or friendlier.
These are small details, but they are part of everyday Argentine culture.
