Enseignant professionnelBoth 'hacer falta' and 'necesitar' express necessity in Spanish, but they are used differently.
✅ NECESITAR → works like to need in English. The subject is the person who needs something.
👉 Necesito ayuda. (I need help.)
✅ HACER FALTA → literally means to be needed. The thing needed becomes the subject of the sentence.
Structure: 👉 (Indirect object) + hacer falta + noun / infinitive
Me hace falta dinero. (Money is needed for me → I need money.)
⚠️ Very important:
singular → hace falta
plural → hacen falta
👉 Me hacen falta dos días más.
