Enseignant professionnelIn Spanish, when we talk about parts of the body, we usually do NOT use possessive adjectives (my, your, his…).
Why?
Because Spanish already shows possession with a reflexive pronoun (me, te, le…).
❌ Incorrect
Me duele mi cabeza
Me lavo mis dientes
✅ Correct
Me duele la cabeza
Me lavo los dientes
👉 The reflexive pronoun me already means my.
🧠 Think about it like this:
Me duele la cabeza = My head hurts
Saying mi cabeza sounds unnatural or excessive in Spanish.
___ duele la espalda.
