Since I was 18 years old I started tutoring and then one after another opportunity came up in which I found myself teaching. I realized that I loved teaching. Since I didn't go through the normal route to get a teaching certificate in college, when I finally did start teaching I put a lot of pressure on myself to be the best teacher I could be and to really reach my students. At some point, I realised that teaching had become a passion. My professional experience before italki was focused mainly on exam preparation both in English (e.g. Cambridge, Trinity) and German (Goethe Institut, telc) and included - apart from the usual group and individual, intensive and regular courses - level-testing and organising mock exams. For several years, I also worked as an English examiner and corrector at one of the universities in Spain. I hold a C2 Certificate in Spanish (DELE).

In our classes, we can focus on your personal needs, for example, vocabulary, grammar, speaking skills, writing skills - literally, anything you need help with and anything you want to improve. During our first class, we will get to know each other, you will tell me how and where you studied English or Russian before, I will help you set a goal and I will work out a personalized study plan for you that we will follow. I’m convinced that speaking is the most important aspect of leaning a language, because initially we start learning a language in order to communicate with people, to get to know their culture so during our classes we will pay the most attention to the speaking part.

I am really passionate about teaching people. When teaching English as a second language, you need to have a lot of patience and make the lessons fun and interactive. In my lessons I try to breakaway from the traditional monotonous classroom style setting of being taught. I bring enthusiasm and passion when dealing with young learners (level A2 and above) and adults who need to learn English whether it be for day to day conversations or even for business purposes. You can access it anytime, add your own words or translations and do your homework there, it's like a virtual notebook.
