Task Response: Answering Every Part of the Question | IELTS #126
説明
Level B2 (approx. band 5.5-6.5) · Academic and General Training
Task Response asks one simple question: did you answer this question, fully and clearly? Many good writers lose marks here, not because their English is weak, but because they drift. They write about the general topic, answer one part of a two-part prompt, hide their position, or stop at 200 words.
In this episode:
• What task response rewards
• Risk one: going off topic
• Risk two: partial answers
• Risks three and four: position and length
• Model
• Language bridge
• Practice
• Self-check questions with answers
Key points:
• answer every part, keep one clear position, and develop your ideas.
• every paragraph must answer the exact focus, not the general topic.
• make a checklist of every part, and find the answer to each one before you finish.
• one clear position from start to finish, and at least 250 words of your own.
