Las teorías de aprendizaje de idiomas buscan entender  la habilidad de los seres humanos para adquirir el lenguaje, tanto la lengua materna como un segundo idioma,  en diferentes contextos culturales, sociales y académicos.

Aquí vamos a exponer algunas de estas hipótesis que se mencionan en el capítulo 4 del libro “how languages are learned” de Nina Spada y Patsy Lightbown.
