はい、こんにちは。今回はポッドキャストの31回目です。最近はほとんど一日中クーラーをつけています。食欲も無くなってきたので、そうめんやきゅうりを食べています。今月はいろいろな用事があって忙しかったです。最近はもっと仕事や語学について勉強しようと思っていて、読みたい本がたくさんあるのですが、なかなか読む時間が取れません。最近レッスンで生徒さんに聞いた「機会費用」の話が面白かったので、ベンジャミン・フランクリンの本を読みたいです。

Hello. This my podcast episode 31. These days I have the air-conditioner on almost all day long. I've lost my appetite and I'm eating Somen noodles and cucumbers. I've been busy this month with a lot of different things. Recently I have been trying to learn more about work and languages, and there are many books I want to read, but I can't find the time to read them. I want to read a book by Benjamin Franklin because I recently heard a student talk about 'opportunity cost' in a lesson and it was interesting.

先週ウェビナーが終わりました。ライブ時はコメントや質問がほとんどなかったのですが、実はライブが終わってから数分後に、たくさんのコメントや質問が一斉に送られてきていました。日本では、質問の時間は、最初の一人が質問するまで、まったく質問がない、沈黙の時間があるのが普通です。ところが英語圏では、どんどん質問が飛び出すのが普通です。

The webinar finished last week. There were very few comments and questions during the live session, but in fact, a few minutes after the live session was over, many comments and questions were sent in all at once. In Japan, there is usually a period of silence, with no questions at all, until the first person asks a question. In English-speaking countries, however, it is normal for questions to keep popping up.

当日裏方でウェビナーの操作をしていたitalkiの方は、英語のウェビナーの雰囲気に慣れていました。沈黙が続いたとき、質問がないと思って、私に気を使ってくれて、質問コーナーを早く打ち切りました。こういうところでも文化的な理解の違いがあるんですね。この違いに気づかなかったのは、私の経験不足です。もしまたウェビナーのホストをする機会があったら、この点を改善したいと思います。

こんにちは。今日は8月8日木曜日です。「5分でわかる日本語」ポッドキャストへようこそ。私は日本語の先生、みわです。今日は、オリンピックのいろいろな種目（しゅもく）についてお話しします。
皆さん、オリンピックを楽しんでますか？オリンピックはもうすぐ終わってしまいますね。最後まで楽しむために、日本語で種目を覚えましょう。種目とは、種類のことです。

まず、BMX（びーえむえっくす）です。BMXは、自転車に乗ったまま、高く飛んだり、回ったりします。どのくらい素晴らしい技を見せるかで勝ち負けが決まります。

次に、スケートボードです。スケートボードも、BMXのように高く飛んだり、回ったりします。板の上に乗って技を見せるスポーツです。スケートボードは、短く「スケボ」とも言います。気をつけましょう。

次は、バスケットボールです。バスケットボールは、ボールを使って相手のゴールにボールを入れるスポーツです。5人対5人で試合をします。みなさんは、有名な漫画『SLAM DUNK』を知っていますか？今回、オリンピックに出た日本の選手は、小さい時に『SLAM DUNK』を読んで、大きくなりました。バスケットボールは、短く「バスケ」と言うことが多いです。

バレーボールも人気のあるスポーツです。バレーボールは、ボールを相手の場所に落とすスポーツです。6人対6人で試合をします。バレーボールは、短く「バレー」とも言います。

フェンシングもあります。フェンシングは、フランスで生まれたスポーツです。剣を使って相手と戦います。

次に、体操（たいそう）です。体操は、床の上などで行うスポーツです。選手は、いろいろな状況の中で体を動かして、いろいろな技を見せます。前に回ったり、後ろに回ったり、たくさんの動きがあります。

新体操（しんたいそう）についてもお話しします。新体操は、音楽に合わせて長いひもやボールを使って踊るスポーツです。美しい動きが求められます。

競泳（きょうえい）は、水泳の試合です。選手たちは、プールの中で速く泳いで競います。

次は、重量挙げ（じゅうりょうあげ）です。重量挙げは、重い物を持ち上げるスポーツです。選手たちは、自分の力を使って重い物を持ち上げます。

最後に、陸上（りくじょう）です。陸上は、走る、飛ぶ、投げるなどの競技が含まれます。例えば、100メートル走や走り高跳び（はしりたかとび）、砲丸投げ（ほうがんなげ）などがあります。走り高跳びは、選手が高いところにある棒を飛び越える競技です。砲丸投げは、重いボールをできるだけ遠くに投げる競技です。

ここで、皆さんに問題です。スケートボードはどんなスポーツですか？
1.　自転車に乗って技を見せるスポーツ
2.　板に乗って技を見せるスポーツ
3.　プールで泳ぐスポーツ
正解は「2. 板に乗って技を見せるスポーツ」です。

C'era una volta un topolino di nome Tommaso che viveva in una piccola tana nel bosco. Tommaso era un topolino molto curioso e sempre alla ricerca di avventure. Un giorno, decise di esplorare il mondo al di fuori della sua tana.
Camminò per molte ore, superando montagne e attraversando fiumi, fino a quando non vide un grande castello. Era così affascinato dal castello che decise di entrarci. Una volta all'interno, incontrò un re che aveva bisogno di aiuto per trovare un tesoro nascosto.
Tommaso accettò l'incarico e cominciò a cercare il tesoro. Esplorò ogni angolo del castello, ma non riusciva a trovare nulla. Ad un certo punto, incontrò una vecchia volpe che gli disse che il tesoro era nascosto sotto un albero nel cortile del castello.
Tommaso corse fuori dal castello e trovò l'albero. Scavò sotto di esso e c’era il tesoro! Era così felice che decise di dividerlo con il re. Il re era così grato che offrì a Tommaso una ricompensa, ma Tommaso rifiutò, dicendo che l'avventura e la scoperta del tesoro erano già una ricompensa sufficiente.
Allora il topolino tornò nella sua tana, pieno di gioia e con molte storie da raccontare ai suoi amici. E da quel giorno in poi, visse una vita piena di avventure e scoperte.

Me llamo Andres gonzalez, tengo diecinueve años. Nací en Bogota, pero vivo en Medellin. Soy estudiante de primer curso de Periodismo.

De lunes a viernes me levanto a las siete y media, desayuno y camino hasta la universidad. Entro en clase a las nueve y salgo a la una.

Al medio día como la comida en mi casa y veo la televisión. Por la tarde, estudio hasta las siete y después quedo con mis amigos.

A nosotros nos gusta mucho el cine, el teatro y la música. Los viernes por la noche cenamos pizza y bailamos en la discoteca.

Todos los sábados visito a mi familia en Medellin.

El domingo por la tarde regreso a a mi casa y, si hace sol, salgo con mi perro a dar un paseo. ¡Me encantan los animales!
