I want to talk about one of my former bosses, who was an independent designer. He was a really amazing and hard working person. He had a keen sense of fashion and always showed good taste when matching clothes. I think that's why it only took him a few years to become quite successful. Then he had enough money to start his own shop, which is very famous in the city. That's where I met him. I applied to be a manager of that shop. We had a really good time together, and I really enjoyed working with him. It felt as though I wasn't working but, instead, doing something interesting with interesting people. He taught me how to dress stylishly and, in order not to disappoint him, I never wore the same clothes to work. Okay, I admit that's a bit of an exaggeration, but I always took care with my clothing. I felt as though I was Andy Sachs in "The Devil Wears Prada." (But my boss was way nicer than hers!) My boss also told me how to display clothes to make them seem more attractive and sophisticated. I learned a lot about fashion and got a lot of inspiration from him. Maybe that's why I'm so crazy about clothes. He was less like a boss and more like a mentor to me. Ill always be grateful.
