An interesting detail for learners of Spanish: coming and going In English, my boss can call me and say "please come to my office" to which I answer "sure, I'm come right now." The verb "to come" would be used in the command and the response. But in Spanish, my boss would say "please come (using venir) to my office, and I would answer "sure, I'm going (using ir) right now." So it looks like this: El jefe dice "Nico, ven a mi despacho" y le contesto, "Claro, ya voy."
