it is summery of chapter one of a short story . Debbie is 16 years old. She lives with her mother in a tiny flat in a small village near the beach. On spring, her parents got divorced .that is why she and her mother moved from the city where they used to live. In fact, they could not afford to live there anymore . Debbie had to works as waiters to supports herself and her mother. When she started work at heartbreak café on the down beach, it was difficult to her. Since, she and other kids there come from different background, anyway she adapted very well with them. Joe gabardini was working with her and running the place also. It was owned by his grandfather, Mr. Garbarini who is sick .when Debbie and Joe started working together, they fought a lot but, after a while everything’s was great. In fact, they became close friends. They even spend their breaks together walking on the down beach.Pam Debbie`s best friend who also works there. She joined them a few weeks ago. She takes over when they gone for their breaks .Mr. Garbarini came back to work again. He is very strict with his staff / employees. However, she is very happy that he back .it gives her and Joe some time off to be together, and even to go to see a movie sometimes.
