I am learning English as many students ... because it is required! but not only, I am also learning English because I like to talk and communicate with the world! this is so fun!

i think you should use the present continuous tense (I am also learning ) because you start learning English in the past and you still learning it.

As you know "We can use the Present Continuous Tense to talk about activities happening around now, and not necessarilythis very moment"
