First notebook entry: Introducing myself

I'm learning the English language (or simply, "I'm learning English"), because I want to apply to for the best jobs in my country or abroad. I'm Brazilian and as you know our official language is Portuguese. I'm finishing (it's not wrong, but it's perhaps better to say "I will soon receive my degree in...") Electrical Engineering from the Federal University of Campina Grande and I'm Vice President of Incoming Exchange in AIESEC Campina Grande. Learning English (languages are always capitalised in English e.g. French, Chinese, Portuguese) for me is passaporte (like obtaining) a passport to the World. I've never lived in countries that english is oficial language whose official language is English. I went to Bolívia and Peru two years ago, but just to improve my skills in Spanish Language.
