Knowing nothing about the neighbouring countries
When I began to study French I realized that I knew nothing about France, so I decided to read about it, and it was an enriching experience.
Now, when that I’ve returned to the study of English [grammatically correct but a bit stilted - "Now that I am studying English again" is simpler and clearer"], I’ve been become aware that I know nothing about the UK, Britain, England, etc... Until now, this these names were the same thing for to me. But not now. Since yesterday, I’mve been reading about these things since yesterday. [Okay, but I would suggest: "Yesterday, I started reading about all this" or, even better, "...I started reading up on all this".] Later [okay, but I would suggest "Later on" or "In future"], I would like to go to Great Britain and Ireland for learning to learn about it in all situ.
