Why do people memorize special gifts or gifts they receive?

We usually receive gifts from our relatives or friends for different reasons. But some of them hold special memories for us because they may be memories of special people or can remind us of an important incident which has  negative or positive effects on our lives.
Gifts can make a memory of someone that plays an important role in our whole life. People express their feelings by giving a gift. It could be a simple gift, but it gives us an opportunity to remember some one that now he/she is now dead. For instance, my grandfather gave me a watch on my birthday. Every times I look at that, I remember him and the excellent memories that we had before.

 
In addition, a gift can remind us of a memorable incident in our life. In other words, it can be a symbol of definite particular days or feelings like love, interest and emotions.  feelings. For instance, my husband got a ring for me on our wedding day and it made us feel connected together. I feel enjoyment when I look at that. I will never forget the day that my husband take brought it to me and it is a likely lovely present and has emotional power.
More significantly, some gifts not only might be a memory of some one, but also have undeniable influence on our lives. They can broaden our horizons and widen our understanding about our environment and society. For instance, my mother bought a laptop as my birthday gift. I became familiar with important things by using that. I memorized the first day I received that and it inspired me in my childhood.
In summary, taking into account all these examples, we reach the conclusion that presents and gifts are able to make memories of species things or individuals in our life for years.
