Does modern technology have more advantages? Topic: Nowadays more and more people have consumer goods, such as refrigerator or washing machines. Do you think this development has more advantages than its disadvantages? Essay: Prior to several years ago, no machine was used in this world. However, with the development of modern industry, more and more machines appeared to help people from the heavy and tedious physical work. On the one hand, we did benefit a lot from the improvement of technology and science in the past centuries, but on the other side, some people argue that this development is not always that good for our society. In this essay, I’ll apply myself to describe both opinions and give my point of view. First of all, almost everybody has enjoyed the convenience of the development of modernization. We live in our house with all kinds of machine, such as microwave oven, washing machine, fridge, which relieve us from the annoying chores, to help us to have more time to be relax. Secondly, the modern machines make people to work more efficiently and effectively. Obviously, it is so easy for us go to anywhere of the world we want with modern transport system. Thirdly, we get better quality products with the improvement of technology than what we got in the past. However, there is still an opposite opinion that this development is making people lazier and lazier, and eventually we human being can do nothing at all. They also believe that the overdeveloped modern society will destroy the balance of our environment and ecosystem. This development is resulting in more and more pollution and is damaging the climate of our only planet. Moreover, there are too many evidence showing that the whole world in getting warmer and many animals are dying because of the greenhouse effect. In my opinion, the development of technology is unavoidable and necessary for our society. But we should also pay attention to the balance of the development and the environment. I believe we could develop our society healthily and appropriately at the same time maintain our living conditions.
