Question about pronominal and xxx-même form. In what case will I use them? I write something and someone correctme. However I still don't get it. 1st question 1. What i want to say: Suddenly, a very loud sound came like a storm in the middle of the day. it was a helicopter of soldier. It had RPG that shoot the people below. 2. Here is what i write: Brusquement , un bruit très fort vint comme la tempête en plein jour. C’était un hélicoptère de soldat. Il avait des armes RBJ que tiraient les passages au-dessus. Is it weird? I guess so but i can't point out exactly. 2nd Question my writing: Ils couraient essayer pour sauver leur-même Correction : Ils couraient et essayaient de se sauver. My question is when can we use lui-même, moi-meme, toi-même in a sentence if there is pronominal verb to describe an action to oneself. For example Il arrete lui-même Il s’arrete. Both of them is "He stops himself". When can xxx-même form can be used? I hope you understand my question.

1st question

Brusquement , un bruit très fort vint comme une tempête en plein jour. C’était un hélicoptère de soldats. Il avait des armes RBJ qui tiraient sur les personnes au-dessous.
Is it weird? I guess so but i can't point out exactly.

2nd Question
my writing: Ils couraient essayer pour sauver leur-même
Correction : Ils couraient et essayaient de se sauver.

My question is when can we use lui-même, moi-meme, toi-même in a sentence if there is pronominal verb to describe an action to oneself.
For example
Il arrete lui-même
Il s’arrete.
Both of them is "He stops himself".
When can xxx-même form can be used? I hope you understand my question.
