Synonyms : Make your speech sound better

Today in this era of the braggart, we speak to impress, not to express. One the way to amend your speech is by using some fancy synonyms. People are gratified by things that they don't discern*.

P.S: This is the first time I tried my hand at synonyms, please feel free to correct me.

*Discern sounds a little funny here. I don't often hear it as a negative (i.e. with "don't").
