Some fun facts about Brazilians
Before I start, It's important to emphasize that my target here is not to discussions of cultural stereotyping but only create a relaxing notebook about funny things about my compatriots and also, of course, receive some help with my English :)
I had the opportunity to met people from differents parts of the word, and I noticed some different behaviors that are just particular from Brazilians.
That said, I would like to list some simple examples below:
We greet with kisses (one, two, even there!) on the cheeks when met each other, and that also happens in the first met (obviously in informal conversation).
During a conversation, it is normal talking close and touching each other (don't worry about that, we aren't fighting!).
We have an obsession for hygiene, It's top priority. For us, It's normal to brush the teeth 4 times and take a shower at least 3 times a day.
Brazilians like so much soccer, so if you say Maradona (Argentinian player) is better than Pele, probably you'll see your Brazilian friend a little upset.
"Caipirinha" (alcoholic drink most famous in Brazil) is shared, don't wait for an individual cup (everybody drinks in the same cup).
I'm trying to talk about different subjects here on Italki, I think is the best way to improve my English. So, I'm gonna be so grateful if someone helps me with some advice.
Many thanks!
