Audiobook Apps for iOS I've got a bunch of audiobooks on my dropbox and had a thought of using dropbox to stream them. However, it turns out this cloud service doesn't stream m4b files directly. Only it can stream by using a third party app like Cloudbeats. How come iOS devices are so stubborn to be ubiquitous? I know they might say that there are many reasons for them to stay with m4b files, wave, or mp4 files. On the downside, just plug and play features with a micro USB cable simply make my life much easier. I used to use iTunes to transfer my media files on my computer to my iOS devices like iPhone and iPad but the backup files of iTunes on my computer is too large to store over months in using two iOS devices. So I wouldn't directly save any media files on iTunes any more. Instead, I use third-party apps like nPlayer for videos, Cloudbeats for music files, and Bookmobile for audiobooks. If I store m4b audobooks on my iTunes and sync them to my iPhone and iPad, I can easily access the same files and remember playback position when you close the music app. That's one of the best features if you have all devices from Apple. But I just want to get my dropbox to stream it directly for now. I can't even play m4b files on my old school mp3 player. So I need to convert them to mp3 format so my old device would play them.
