Help(english) Hi, there Let's say today is Monday and I have just gotten back to work. Let's say I spent the last two weeks on strike, which ended Friday. Should I say (Monday) "I have been on steike for the last two weeks" or "I was on strike for the last two weeks"? Thank you!

But is it right to use the simple past with “For the past two weeks”?

you can say either, and you are correct "I have been suggests you may still be on strike" "I was on strike" = was definitely in the past and is finished now. No confusion or hint of ambiguity
