Why is "Squid Game" called "Round Six" in Brazil?
The Netflix South-Korean series Squid Game has been a success all around the world. It's currently at the top of the list of the most viewed TV shows of the platform in many countries, including Brazil. Given such popularity, there is a detail that hasn't gone unnoticed by the Brazilian viewers: apparently, Brazil is the only country where the show is called "Round Six".
Why is that like this? There are pretty much two theories: first, the name might have sounded unsuitable for the Brazilian People, since "Squid game" is a name of a popular kids play is Korean, and we don't have anything similar in Brazil; second (and maybe the one which makes the most sense), the translation for "Squid Game" in Portuguese is "Jogo da Lula", which may sound like a reference to ex-president Lula, who is supposed to run for elections next year. So, the title of the series may have changed for political reasons.
There haven't been any official declarations about the changing of the title in Brazil, so anything that people say about it at present is no more than rumors.

This is interesting. I'm guessing it is, as you say, the second theory. It's called 'The Squid Game' here in the UK and there's no similar game here, either. Names in the Lusophone world totally confuse me (and my very limited vocabulary never extended as far as lula/squid) and I had just assumed that the 'Lula' in 'Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva' was his grandfather's surname, or something like that. But according to Wiki, it is a nickname - presumably a diminutive of Luiz, and not a reflection on any squid-like qualities that he possesses?

Because there is a total of 6 games and the 6th and final one is called "The Squid game"
