I HAVE DONE my work: The action is complete. It was completed recently. It also IMPLIES that there is a result to this action - maybe I can go home or I can go play, etc. Imagine a child telling his mother. Or a student telling his teacher. I DID my work: The action was completed sometime in the past. There is NO reference to any result to that action. (I put it as a comment, before. Sorry.)
