和 and ,我们说 A 和 B -- A and B
例如,我和你是好朋友。 I and you/ you and me are good friend.
也 also , too . 也 means the repetition of an action. That is to say some one did something and you did the same after. For example,
A : 你爸爸好吗? How is you father?
B: 他很好,你呢?He is fine, and you ? (if you answer as 他也很好 in this sentence, that's not correct because this is the first time people talk about it, 也 could not be used for the first time appearance )
A: 我 也 很好。 I am fine too. --As I am as fine as the A's father, I can put 也 in the sentence after the pronoun 我.
If you have a different opinion
我不太好。 -- I am not very well, in this case, you could not put 也 in this sentence at all because you have the different opinion, no need the repetition.
another example.---also
昨天我也去了学校。Yesterday, I also went to school. (There are already some students went to school, so I did the same thing, I also went to school)
e.g. 我需要买礼物给朋友[和] 家人 is right,
but 我需要买礼物给朋友[也]家人 is wrong.
because 也 is an adverb, the position of 也 is often after the subject *(pronoun or noun ) at the beginning of a sentence.
和 is a conjunction which is more flexible in a sentence. It can be used both after a subject at the beginning of a sentence and as a object at the end of the sentence .
