Justice is when something is done to punish (or reward) someone who has done something bad (or good). For example, if some one commits a murder, they are put in jail. Being put in jail is justice. Rewarding someone for doing a good deed is also justice, but usually justice is used to represent a negative consequence. Fairness is when something is treated with equality or equity and without bias or dishonesty. For example, "The teacher acted without fairness when treating a Latino student of h''s poorly." It is more common to see the adjective forms of these words: "just" and "fair"
