If you like what you are doing, even if it is your paid job, it isn't 'really' work.
However, if while you are doing something, you are constantly wishing you could be someplace else, then what you are doing now is REALLY work, because you really don't want to be doing it.

I risk to say it means nothing that takes some effort is a real piece of work if you like doing that thing. I'd relate it to jobs. If you work hard in your job because you like it, it's not really hard work...it's a pleasure. Unless you hate you your job and you'd rather be working with something else. That's how I got the message. : )

If you do something you are just paid to do, then it's work. if you do something out of passion and enjoyment, then it means more than what it seems to be.
