What's the meaning of" six-by-nine cell" and " college basketball"?
My lawyer thinks we can appeal the sentence. Not that it’ll help. But making sure this brouhaha reaches a higher court would buy us a little time. I told him I’m not interested. Between us, what would I get from that little slice of living? More push-ups in a six-by-nine cell? More college basketball and crappy reality TV?
What's the meaning of" six-by-nine cell" and " college basketball"?
Thanks!

College Basketball: Basketball is a game you play where you need to shoot a ball through a hoop. It is a popular sport in the United States, and many colleges (universities) have basketball teams and compete against one another. If you watch many American movies, you'll notice that often people who go to jail are portrayed playing basketball. Many jails have basketball courts where inmates can play basketball and get some exercise.
Six-by-nine-cell: a cell is a room where inmates are kept. The writer is referring to the size of his cell. It is six feet wide by nine feet long.
