Sometimes people say "mojo" in a movie or drama. What is "mojo"?

American movies sometimes speak with few Spanish words mixed with English in conversation. I believe the Spanish word is mejor, it means better. " mojo ", it is the same in both English and Spanish, it means (魔力), a power that may seem magical and that allows someone to be very effective, successful, etc

It's the only reference I have to it actually. I now remember it from the Austin Powers movie. But outside of that movie, I never heard it. You made me curious too now, actually. It could be a black urban word though, look: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mojo_%28African_American_culture%29
