As far as I understand your question you want to know what the meaning of adding "green" to various nouns, right? If that's the case then "green eyed" means jealous. "Green hand" can mean someone who is good at gardening, for example "She has a great pair of green hands in the garden." I believe in American English it can also mean a "novice".. which is the same meaning as "green horn." Unfortunately I have no idea for "green room." Finally for "green power" for my understanding this refers to environmentally and sustainable forms of power, such as solar, wind, wave etc. I hope that helps!

green-eyed monster: http://www.phrases.org.uk/meanings/green-eyed-monster.html green room http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Green_room "green power" could be either eco-friendly (environmentally beneficial) sources of energy or the political power of environmentally concerned groups, I would assume, because plants/trees in the *environment* are *green*

teacher greguk answered most. However, you wouldnt normally say "green hand", instead you would say "green thumb". A green room is a room with a green background used to film movies or TV, news etc, then a computerized background is superimposed onto the "green" bacground. Another use you may hear is simply "green". For example a new employee or athlete might make a mistake and you may hear "Don't blmae him, he's still green" (kind of like a new tree)
