Hello Zeeshan
I think that being able to communicate when learning a new language and grammar are equally important. The real issue is, how grammar is taught and at what stage grammar is taught.
Grammar should be introduced gradually in a real life context not just learnt for the sake of learning.
I hope this helps

As a non native speaker, I think grammar is very important but they learned it in wrong way. I remember the first thing I studied in English was verb to be. And this is even before I learn the Alphabet. I rather study it when I become B1 in my target language.

As I said when you posted this same question yesterday, trying to use a language without grammar is like trying to build a brick wall without any mortar to hold the bricks in place.
To use the example above "Go you where Brad yesterday?" is like throwing bricks in a pile - they might land in the right place, but they might not.

In my home country, the USA, there are many immigrants from all over the world who live and work there. They can function as taxi drivers and as people selling things on the street, but that doesn't mean we can have a nice conversation with them! When you speak any language without knowing the grammar, it is difficult for other people to understand; even if they understand you, it is a lot of work for them to do it. If you said to me, "Go you where Brad yesterday?" I might be able to understand that you are actually asking me, "Where did you go yesterday, Brad?" But I will not enjoy working so hard to understand you! Also, grammar gives the listener a lot of important information: for example, if you say "I lived in London for two years" it means you don't live there anymore, but if you say "I have lived in London for two years" it means you moved there two years ago and you still live there. If your grammar is bad, you will need to explain things all the time using other words, or you will confuse people.
You should focus on vocabulary and basic grammar and word order in the beginning. This will make it possible for you to communicate in English. However, you should always be improving your grammar so that you will be as clear as possible in your meaning, and so that native speakers will find it easy to have a chat with you.

I think that both grammar and the ability to express ourselves through speech (phrases) are important to learn a new language well. If one desires only enough foreign language skill for travel (survival skill), only a small number of phrases are needed. You said that you wanted to achieve fluency, so I recommend that you try to learn all you can. I corrected your grammar below.
How important is grammar when learning English? I saw a teacher's video on YouTube and they said grammar was very important for learning English. Others say "don't learn grammar, it will slow down your fluency and will get you confused." Other say "if you want to speak English fluently, you should memorize phrases because this will help your vocabulary." I am confused. First of all; what should do? Do I need to learn grammar, or do need to learn phrases? If there are any mistakes in my questions please correct me and answer my questions please. Thank you.
