American cartoons. I grew up with Disney and I'm not trying to be disrespectful here but that was way better quality than most of the Japanese animations around here these days. Stuff like Pokemon and Dragonball Z is way too commercial and of inferior quality. The only Japanese animations I was impressed with were Grave of the Fireflies, Spirited Away and Howl's Moving Castle. Still doesn't compare to the long list of Disney classics.

I like American cartoons as I grew up with them. I am not familiar with Japanese ones, are they very popular?

I personally like japanese anime the best too.Because I think the Japanese animation Pianyu emotional content, closer to young people in life and some of the ideas, and the United States with the cartoon heroes tend to serve the children of entertainment purposes. Another Japanese animation colors more vivid, detailed figures may not deal with the United States delicate animation, but a little more rhythm, guests can seize the attention.From the music, Japanese animation music Naiting more and more to bring guests for the animation and visual interest in hearing the double enjoyment!

i like japanese ones better because they are more detailed and more interesting. american cartoons are funny, but ones such as the simpsons and south park contain crude humour that leads to them putting down countries such as mine(canada)

I also like both To me, Japanese anime usually has more plot and character development but recently there have been cartoons that are just as elaborate and are heading that way.
