Hi! I'm from Singapore. We use simplified Chinese, instead of Traditional Chinese. Actually, in Singapore, the most commonly spoken language is English, or rather Singlish (a type of English with influences of other languages such as Chinese, Chinese dialects, and Malay). So even when we speak Chinese, it is usually filled with Singlish words such as "leh", "meh", "hor", etc. Otherwise, the Chinese we speak is pretty similar to standard Chinese (though, we have a more neutral accent). In Singapore, every student is required to study both English and a mother tongue language. The most commonly learned mother tongue is Chinese, since Chinese people make up the majority of Singapore's population. It is difficult to be fluent in 2 languages, hence many students end up being only fluent in one and average or sub par in the other. If you have further questions, feel free to ask me! :)

Simplified Chinese is used in Singapore so as to align to mainland China, primarily for the ease of business communication. Whereas in Taiwan and Hong Kong traditional Chinese is dominant due to historical reasons.
