I am confused with the word "clarify".
I get confused with the following sentence "clarify certain assumptions underlying a particular theory about the implementation of women's suffrage." extracted from a GMAT test.
Could anyone tell me if the word "clarify" indicates that those "assumptions" are naturally right, but our understanding towards them are wrong, so someone need to "clarify" them?
