What does 'I once' mean? Does it mean 'I finally'?
I know the word 'once' means 'one time'.
and the term 'at once' means 'immediately'.
But what about these sentences:
'I once believed'
Does it mean 'I believed one time'?/'I finally believed'?/or something else?
'I solved it once'
Does it mean 'I solved it one time'?/'I solved it finally'?/or something else?
"I once believed" means that in the past I believed something, but I do not now. "I once believed in Santa Claus."
"I solved it once" could mean that I solved it one time or that I solved it some time in the past but I can not solve it now.

In your example 'I once believed' you can replace 'once' with 'used to'. 'I used to believe' has the same meaning.
'I solved it once', means one time in the past the person has solved something. A phrase like this usually has more context to it.
