Эту фразу мы произносим к месту и не очень каждый день)) Ничего конкретного она не означает. Просто констатирует факт ушедшей любви.

At that time tomato flowers were presented by a man to a woman as a sign of affection. When a man stopped giving flowers it meant he stopped loving a woman.
