Hi!
Did is the past tense for the verb "do", meaning to perform an action.
Ex. I did my homework.
I did the laundry for my mother.
Had is the past tense for the verb "to have", meaning to have possession of something.
Ex. I have a lot of money.
I have a shirt from Japan.
It can also be used in a phrase like:
Ex. I have to work many hours on Friday.
