The success of IM's is determined by its userbase, therefore: MSN and Skype.

Skype. Voice quality is so much better and it keeps a history of the chat. I also like the Flash-based (or Flex-based) italki webchat however it does not support cut-and-paste (except a wholesale one) and the mouseover function of PowerWord does not work with it. MSN's voice mode has a problem with my laptop. 我用Skype。 生音比较好。
