What does "shanenu" mean in the Hebrew phrase, "hakshivu v'shanenu", and how do you write it? Pimsleur says what sounds like "hakshivu v'shanenu" in every lesson, and translates it into English as "listen and repeat". However, I've been trying to look up the second word and it is very hard to find in dictionaries or online. What is the word Pimsleur uses here? Is it very common? I did find a word לשנן "to memorize" - is this the word Pimsleur is using? Would the phrase be written הקשיבו ושננו or הקשיבו ושנינו? Thanks in advance for any help.

"shanenu" is the plural imperative form of "leshanen", which indeed means "to memorize". The phrase would be written הקשיבו ושננו. I hope I've been helpful :)
