Hi Rob, When you go to a restaurant, you are a customer. Some restaurants will call you a guest, but customer is more common. We don't say visitor. If the person who serves you is a woman, she is a waitress. If he is a man, he is a waiter.

if a woman serves you, she is a waitress. If a man, he is a waiter. You may be called customer, guest or client.
