What's the pronunciation of "eco" and "eco-" (like eco-friendly) ? A dictionary said "eco" is /'iko/ and "eco-" is "/'ɛko/" . It's confusing.......

The e is pronounced like the ee in "weed" or "seed" The co is pronounced like the co in "coat" I'm not any good with phonetic spelling, but I'd imagine it as "ee-ko" Hope this helps some!

As a prefix, it's usually pronounced: ee-koe.
