There "is" some candy in my bag For example, " Today is Easter. In the afternoon, we go egg hunting. I see two eggs in the box. 1. There are some candy in it. 2. There is some candy in it. Which sentence is correct? or how to make the sentence much more common used? Thanks!

You would use "is" because candy is being used in that sentence as a collective singular. You could also say "There are some candies in the bag." This makes the subject plural.
