We never use 'あなた' in daily conversations. It does not equal 'you' at all. Please forget this word and use the name of the person you're talking to, instead. For example, if you're talking to a teacher named Yamada, say 'やまださん の なまえは...' Using their names instead of the word あなた will make your Japanese much better. あなた sounds really rude. In this case, you're talking to your teacher it's better to say おなまえ は かんじ で どう かきますか. You don't have to say a word for 'your' because it's obvious from the context.
