How do you call a children cartoon in Chinese? Is it 动画片 ?

As far as i am concerned,  the children cartoon in Chinese is 动画片， that's correct. the sentence you have written is also correct. But pay a little attention to the difference of 动画片 and 动漫， in Chinese, we use 动漫 for animation. 动漫 is not only for children, but also suitable for teenages and adults.
