bonehead = a stupid person bonehead manoeuvre = a stupid move/thing to do Bonehead is not an everyday word. Hope that helps.

You actually hear this type of comment quite frequently in the US. For instance, 'what a bonehead!' Or 'what a boneheaded mistake!'
