If you want to study Korean or Japanese, you'd better stay in Korea for a while first. Both of languages are grammrtically resamble but those are actually quite different. Anyway recently many Korean universities have a Korean language lesson program for foreign student. If you join even a while you may find a way. And actually It's cheaper than staying in Japan for trial studying :)
